The DisplayPort 2.0 standard is finally being implemented. The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) says it will adopt a new certification program to ensure customers can tell whether a cable or device supports the standard. DisplayPort 2.0 supports DisplayPort UHBR (Ultra High Bit rate) data transmission, and VESA has introduced new DP40 and DP80 UHBR cables to separate specifications.
